In Cleveland, that old saw of "shop ‘till you drop" takes on renewed vitality with a remarkable choice of venues, starting with downtown’s two malls -- The Avenue at Tower City Center and The Galleria at Erieview -- and three historic arcades, packed with upscale stores, specialty shops, and art galleries. Crooked River Reading Club, downtown’s new independent bookstore, stocks reference materials and gifts. The Glass Bubble Project, provides a working studio experience, art gallery, and gift shop next to the West Side Market. More malls in the suburbs feature department stores from Dillard's, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue to Kaufmanns, and Kohl's.

Lifestyle centers, Crocker Park, ETON Chagrin Boulevard, imbued with walkways and fountains, and Legacy Village, provide new takes on shopping. Beachwood Place, northeast Ohio’s fashion destination, features Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard’s, Nordstrom, and specialty stores including Brooks Brothers and Chico’s. Barrington Town Center is near Sea World and Six Flags Ohio. Prime Outlets at Lodi and Aurora Farms Premium Outlets, with 70 stores, beckon with bargains. Quaint boutiques and antique districts in Chagrin Falls, Coventry Village, Little Italy, Shaker Square, and at Larchmere and Lorain Avenues stock items of intrigue. Serving Cleveland since 1929, the Harley-Davidson Sales Co. Inc., with sales, parts, accessories, motorclothes and service, accesses from downtown and the airport via the Rapid Transit System.
